I all for the trash talking, it really made the sport in its early days, the dirt tossing ads in magazines and digger claiming this 'n that, calling the competition skirt wearers etc..west coast, east coast yickty yack...now all we have is homogenized corporate hack posers rattling off 50 sponsors in the 15 seconds of TV time...yuck
Basically NASCAR is also feeling the yawns as the Waltrips, Jr Johnson's, Yarboroughs, Allison's are replaced by lookalike madison ave posers
One of the things that has "driven" the intense SS/AA (AH-yuck)Hemi Challenges and public interest (as well as out-of-the-woodwork Hemi owners) is that 'old time rivalries and trash talking...gets the blood boiling
Unfortunately, the internet can take fun trash talking right down into ultra nasty, usually by spineless no namers hiding behind keyboards with their pants around their ankles...losers
I say Charlie, Bucky, Tuetons, DeFranks et al can handle themselves
Let 'er rip
It's good for the class as NHRA Pros and NASCAR dissolve in utter blandness
