Katie, Yes, you are right Mammy is racist. Perhaps you didn't know that the US was a moderately racist place in the fifties. Things change, things get corrected. Does that mean that we can't enjoy the old things? Like Amos and Andy, nobody says that they were right but they are still enjoyed by many.
