First off, I've enjoyed (the earlier) Tom & Jerry cartoons since I was four. Second, I never knew that Mammy Two Shoes had a name. Furthermore, I never saw any racism with that character. Then again, at four years old, the idea of racism was far beyond my comprehension. As far as I have always been concerned, she was just the Funny Old Black Lady Who Was Always Giving Tom Hell, or simply Tom's owner. I'm 30 now, and I still love watching the old toons!
