I've seen Stacy over the years hit home runs. This past weekend she hit gappers and line shots. She also flied out. Buffy didn't play. However, I ve seen her consistently hit gappers and use her speed to get extra bases. Isn't that what most lead off batters do? I would venture to think that a good off-season program of weight training after the birth of a child could help anyone hit with distance and we must admit, legal bats are barely missing the limits because there are no control features on the balls used in play and in testing. Let's not accuse players of cheating when there are other viable options.
