NEW BOOK
217.35.102.182
I am pleased to report that on the back of great sales for the 'In a city Living' book which came out last December, the follow up is now on the shelves at all major book shops under the local history section. Again concentrating on the much overlooked aspect of tenement and ground breaking constructions that were so much an every day part of thousands of lives from the early 1900s to the end of the last century. Featured are the 'Clinker' flats of Eldon street and the award winning 'Victoria Square' settlement as well as Europes first municipal housing - St. Martin's cottages and Gerard Gardens and Crescent which were the single biggest brick built housing developments in Europe when completed, containing the longest run of landings anywhere in Liverpool. A nice Crimbo present for a relative.
