Hi, I have just come across a very old medal which is round and has Liverpool Central Combination written around the edges of one side with a brass/bronze shield in the middle with the Liver Bird on it. The reverse of the medal has an ornate engraved edge with a plain brass/bronze shield in the centre surrounded by royal blue enamel. This belonged to my Gt. Aunt b. 1896 and I would be most grateful if anyone has any information on what it represents as I am curious! Have tried to Google it to no avail, so would appreciate someone pointing me in the right direction. Many thanks.
