I can't see any hint of Austin Street on map 1. I suppose the 1882 map is based on an earlier survey.
At least on the 1900 map 3 a block of buildings are shown where Austin St. was and is.
According to his birth certificate my great-grandfather was born at 1, Austin St. on 28 december 1869 and on the 1871 census he is listed along with his parents and two elder sisters. On the page I have of the 1871 census there are famillies at numbers 2 and 3 Austin St. also. There is an empty plot where no.2 and I suppose no.3 were. Perhaps they were hit by a bomb in WW2?
