Dingle robot

Hello does anyone remembera story in the local press back in the 60s about the discovery ofa robots arm being found in the remains ofa demolished Chimney Stack in the Dingle, near cockburn street? This stack used to be the scurge of children as it seemed to move.. there was an article that Scientists from London were called up to investigate this discovery, or was it all just a prank? if any one has any recollection or information please mail me.
