Posted by brian johnson I lived in the Speke Prefabs between 1951 and 1959. My road was Sandgate which was at the bottom of appledore road on one side and Dymchurch on the other. Speke playing fields which was nearby is now occupied by a ambulance station and the land were my prefabs stood has been fenced off for the last couple of years although no buildingwork has started on it. I wonder do you or any of your readers have any photos of these roads and prefabs. I cannot get hold of any photos of this estate not through want of trying. Hope you can help.
