Posted by Mike Royden (Webmaster) on 6/6/2006, 9:15 pm, in reply to "Hitler's American Family" I am well aware of their adoptive name but see no gain in recording it on my site. I have also been involved in a Dutch TV documentary where I refused to disclose on camera (as did David Gardner) what their name was and their address, although we both knew it, as we respect their privacy. Again, I quote from my article, ‘Not only did he give his first son the middle name of Adolf, but the adopted name he was to use for the rest of his life was the same double barrel name of one of the most notorious anti-semitic historians of the far right’. Your final comment regarding the possibility of a book by the surviving sons – I would find this unlikely given their silence and anonymity so far, especially while their mother is alive. It is more likely a diversion to keep other researchers at bay. Furthermore, your comment that the book would reveal; I thank you for your post, but I would be grateful if all posters on this matter would refrain from adding the information on the adoptive names and addresses of the Long Island family and the location of the family grave.

After reading this post it seems that you have only skimmed through the article on this web site. Most of what you write about is already in there.
The rest I already have on file but did not want to disclose it on this site. On this matter I actually wrote ‘Gardner has refused to disclose their adoptive name and where they live, although it has been uncomfortably easy for this author to discover it through other channels’.
The fact that I did not state it seems to have escaped you. I have removed all reference to it and their addresses in the USA from your post. You may well find it elsewhere, but it won’t be recorded here for the sake of their privacy. They bear no responsibility for the sins of their relative.
Another question: Was Hitler ever in Liverpool, England between 1912 and 1913 dodging the draft of the Austrian Army? During that time was he living with William Patrtick, Alois Jr. and Bridget Hitler in Liverpool?
Surely this was answered in my article. It is unlikely they could add anything as this was well before their time and the relevant records in England, Germany and Austria have been checked. The only source that places Hitler in Liverpool is Bridgets Memoir. Anything they have is likely to be hearsay.
Thanks.
