I don't know what would have brought a Scottish brass founder to the area but it was a diverse and multicultural area in those days.

Green street does indeed still exist, in Liverpool 5 near to the city centre. The nearest churches - both within a stones throw are Our Lady of Reconciliation, Eldon st and St. Silvesters, Silvester st.
