Why amazed??? Firstly, this is by no means a complete history of the Merseyside & Wirral area. Secondly, they are vastly covered elsewhere. Local History was once the field of those who thought it began and ended with these landed famililies who have had enough coverage. If its landed estates, you need to read books not rely on the net. See Omerods History of Cheshire for example. Hugh Lupus coming out of his ears.
