Posted by Renee If Mojo was registered he'd be worth much more due to how much training and handling this horse has had. He is unfortunately unregistered due to the fact that his mother was not registered, even though his father was. He was born around 5/?/1998, no exact day was told to us when we bought him and he's 35 1/2" high. You'd think he was gelded by his extremely gentle and calm nature, but he isn't. He is being sold as we do not need 2 stallions, especially since he is not registered. This guy has been saddle trained to carry little kids on his back and has been to fairs and all sorts of events that have involved a lot of people and noise and he has done very well with it all. Not sure how long ago he had a saddle on him, I know it's been at least 2-3 years, so he might need some refresher training, but knowing his personality, I don't see a problem at all with him picking it back up again if he does need a refresher. He stands very, very well for grooming and when he's getting his hooves trimmed. He's been very well handled throughout his entire life which shows, being that he's a stallion. He'd also make the perfect teaser stallion too if you're into breeding and definitely tells you when the mares come into heat. He has excellent confirmation and bite and is currently up to date with vaccinations, wormings, and hoof trims. He loves to eat bread and is a big time talker at you when it's feeding time. If you want a companion horse for the kids, he is a perfect horse. He would also be an excellent pleasure cart horse for town parades or anything of that nature, if trained. He is worth every penny. He was born out of Unicorner's Now Wotawi Dun, and CSF George Strait from Country Star Farm. This colt is very refined with a beautiful dishy head and great confirmation and bite. He'd make an excellent show gelding or stallion for anyone who wants to show. He's very friendly and gentle and has no bad habits at all. He is weaned and halter and lead broke and is currently up to date on all vaccinations, wormings, and hoof trims. He is for sale due to the fact that our farm just doesn't need any future stallions and we're trying to make room for the few 06 foals. I would sell him higher, but at the moment he currently has, not really a problem, with his hind legs becoming stiff and him not being able to bend it, resulting in him dragging the leg behind him. It comes and goes and is very common in miniature horses, especially at his age, and because he's still growing, he should grow out of it. He only gets stiff back legs when he walks and it switches between his left and right leg so that he's only ever dragging one leg behind him at a time. It also goes to show that if it switches, and you see him walking on the leg that isn't stiff at the moment, that you know he doesn't have anything wrong with his legs. I've heard from several people, that have seen this in many miniatures, that it doesn't hurt them at all and that they actually get accustomed to it until they grow out of it and that there is nothing wrong with their legs at all during that time. I did have a vet come out to look at him and she told me the same thing, that he should grow out of it. When he runs, he uses his legs perfectly fine as if nothing ever happened. Basically what is happening is he's just turning out his legs to walk around his hay belly, kinda like pregnant mares do to walk around their belly. When he turns out his legs to walk around his belly, due to his age and not being fully developed yet, his leg, now walking out to the side causes the joint to also turn out just enough to cause him to not be able to bend his leg, until that joint has turned back in towards the body into it's normal position in the leg. Basically to get rid of this leg stiffening up problem, he needs a home where he can have a lot of space to run and build up the muscles in that leg, and he needs the hay belly off of him. We are currently working on the hay belly, but we just don't have the facilities at the moment to be able to provide the space needed for him to run as much as we need him to. He really needs to go to a loving home that will give him the care and space he needs and that will love him no matter what. He'd be a really great kids horse due to his very gentle nature if you want to just make him a pet because of his current leg situation. He'd make an awesome horse no matter what situation...show, breeding, or pet.
