Help Needed!!!!

I've been playing Links Career for 2 years. Creating my own seasons etc.
Following has happened:
I start a new season, I exit Links mid round or tournament, when I return and click "Links Career" the next screen says "to continue with your Links Career you must withdraw from this Season"
If anyone can offer any help, I'd be most grateful.
