APCD Question on planting

I have a strange problem with a course I'm building. Planting trees (one-at-a-time and forest) works sometimes and sometimes doesn't. With forest, nothing shows up in the shape I created. With both forest and 2-D plant, APCD show the correct results, but they disappear when I run the course in Links (2001). I've built lots of courses before, but never saw this before. I reinstalled APCD and patch, but still have the problem. Any ideas?
