Radeon ATI 9200 Gameplay is choppy

Win XP, 512 DDR RAM, Radeon 9200 128 DDR RAM, AMD 1.6 GHz CPU, SB Live audio. Everything is fine w/ menus, etc. When I go to play a game, everything is choppy. I have latest drivers of all my hardware, direct x and game version. The suggested fixes avail. on Links don't work, any suggestions?
