Game Freezes with Radeon 9800 Pro

Hi
Just changed to a new system.
win xp pro
1024mb DDR400 Ram
Abit NF7 Mobo/Latest Driver and Bios
Radeon 9800 Pro Latest Driver Catalyst 3.6
Soundblaster Live 5.1 Latest Driver
Only game i am having a problem with is Links 2003.Game just totally freezes in the create a player screen and i can't even Ctrl Alt Del.
Thought it was because the PSU'but despite upgrading to a 350W from a 300W it's still happening.
Any ideas?
