Posted by Jeff Patton I'm not sure if this is anything, but today I made sure to set my desktop settings to exactly the same as the game resolution settings, and I was actually able to play Cambrian Ridge. It ended up freezing during a putting stroke on the 7th hole, not at "rendering" as before. I was also able to resume this game later which I hadn't been able to do in the past and played to the 14th hole where I had to save. Curious?? I installed the game and updated to DirectX 9.0 at around the same time so I am not sure if it worked on DirectX 8.1. Good point though, I would expect an updated Nvidia driver to go along with DirectX 9.0 in the very near future. I did try going back to an older video driver because that has worked for me (with my sound card) on other games, but it didn't change anything. I'm pretty sure that I read somewhere that there is no way to uninstall DirectX, so we are stuck with DX9 if that is the problem.
