Hi to all: This is almost unheard of, so I am looking for research on Kartagener's Syndrome. If you don't know what it is, every organ in my body is reversed, which causes sever asthma, bronchitis, sinusitis and copd. I am on many inhalers and the aerosol compressor with Albuterol. My heart is on the wrong side, and so is every other organ. There is no cilia to protect me from inhaling things, smoke, dust, pollen, or anything, and not much immune system to diseases. Here is a definition for it. Complete situs inversus associated with bronchiectasis and chronic sinusitis associated with ciliary dysmotility and impaired ciliary mucous transport in the respiratory epithelium; autosomal recessive inheritance with variable penetrance. The mechanism of the reversal of laterality remains an enigma. If you know of any research on this, Please contact me at, blondie@bealenet.com. They say there is only 1 in 69,000 people with partial reversal, but very few with complete reversal. Thanks, if you can help me. Janice M. Voak
