Posted by Snowy on 10/15/2004, 6:53 pm It takes absolute dedication and no waiverng from the plan I outline, and in 3-6 weeks you can be healed on your own! After years of struggling with skin problems, I was so tired of the long laborious wait for my skin to heal. The expense of drs. hospitals and supplies nearly caused me to go bankrupt! First you must keep the area absolutely clean. I use anti-bacterial soap, a clean washcloth and distilled or bottled water. After washing the wound, let it air dry or use a blow dryer COOL SETTING ONLY! NO HEAT! After the wound has dried from the washng (it might still be moist to the touch) apply a liberal "slathering" of Pure vitamine E oil. This is when you leave the wound open to the air. If you must cover it, do so with a "Telfa" type non-stick bandage. Next step.....Do NOT sit on the area at all! NO Pressure! Don't waiver from this! Next, Drink and consume as much protien possible. Protien speeds up the healing process. You'll see fresh, Pink skin in no time. My recipe is: Add all ingredients to the glass and fill with milk. Add whatever you want to this mixture to make it taste the way you want. Eat foods high in protien also. Meat, fish, eggs, cheese, nuts and even tofu if you have to! Now if you follow these instructions I think you will see the same results as I do. I have had success every time in the past 7 years. No doctors, no hospital, no nurses, no infections....just fast healing skin. I'm open to questions if you have them.

Hi,
I have been a para for 27 years. I have been through the gauntlet when it comes to skin problems.
After too many operations to count, months adding up to years of time down in bed waiting, hoping and barely moving while a sore s-l-o-w-l-y healed.... found the solution.
I have not had to go to the hospital, see a doctor or even a nurse in over 7 years now!
Do I get sores??? Yes. I will for the rest of my life. Pressure sores are a part of life if you are a para or quad and want to have a "real" life!
Can I heal them with no professional help? YES! And you can too!
This is what I came up with that actually worked and continues to work!
Clean the area at least 3 times a day.
Leave the wound open to the air! (If you must cover it, do so with a "Telfa" type non-stick bandage.)
I make protien shakes and drink them 3 times a day.
Use a large glass. Add: 1 scoop of protien powder (you can get any brand of powder at vitamin shops, drug stores and even the grocery store. If you can't get out, order it online!), one package of Carnation Instant breakfast and 2% milk.
Blend these ingredients (or stir if you have no blender) until smooth. Drink! Drink! Drink! 3 times a day.
I used fruit, chocolate, and even ice cream from time to time.

Good luck!
