I am hoping someone will listen to my story.
in was at home with my husband, we are both totally blind. A man from TXU came by to turn off our utilities. I didn’t know this until I asked who was there. I told him if he would please Waite I would go in and pay the bill over the phone. I said come in while I do this, because I need to access my computer. I have all my banking information on it. I went into the house and found he didn’t listen to a word I had said. My utilities were shut off and he was gone. Well now I had no way of paying the utilities. I depend on the computer for most of my information.
We did get it paid that night with the help of my son.
I just feel I was treated like a fifth class citizen!
My husband and I are on a fixed income. We make about $50.00 to much to get assistance.
Well the big thing now is: the want to charge us with a deposit over $1000.00. We don’t have that kind of money. Its not like we were months over due, maybe two weeks.
We just don’t know what to do!
