It is always going to be hard for any player who has effectively taken the place of two popular players. However although Duku did make a couple of mistakes with the ball at his feet, his positional play is very good, he organises the defence very well, he is quick, strong in the tackle and good in the air. He has had injury problems, but you cannot deny that he has played a good few games in the Conference National, which is a way higher level than either Joe or Cabes have played. That should tell you something. As for Junior, I feel that people are too keen to focus on the negatives and ignore the positives of his game. He does still give the ball away too much for my liking, and I would like to see him settle for the easy pass on more occasions, but he does nearly every game come up with a killer pass out of nothing that leads to a goal or a clear opportunity. I have stood in the main stand and noticed people make no comment when he hits a 40 yard crossfield ball over the full back's head, yet the same people are the first to get on his back when he gives the ball away. Let's not forget that I still tend to go for DD ahead of Kadi when push comes to shove - but I think it's a much closer call than a lot of others who fail to acknowledge his qualities and choose to dwell on his shortcomings. (bloody hell, he's even started heading and tackling since halfway through last season when SK told the world he couldn't do either!)
