Yes, it's all about differing opinions, and that's what makes it interesting. We all see things differently. I wouldn't disagree with you too much. Bankole looks safer than Dom on the evidence so far. Hustwick looks good on the ball, but maybe a bit too good for his own good in that he has been caught in possession a couple of times on the edge of the box. A bit more of a no-nonsense approach a la Vines is often better. I think I would still prefer a fully fit Cable. Ipka was superb at the end of last season, but hasn't looked too assured in pre-season.
Storey has done OK, but nothing outstanding.
Belgrave looks the part. Strong, fast, good finisher and provides the weight we missed last season. He's a certainty for the starting XI.
That leaves Cornwall, Newman, Whiteman and Haughton fighting for the remaining position. I'm not sure Cornwall is any better than the others. They all have very strong claims for inclusion: 30-goal-a-season Lee. Warren, brilliant at the tail end of last season. Marc, tireless worker and quality all round game. I would go for Lee who would benefit from Barrington's presence. How the hell is SK going to keep them all happy? Very difficult. Someone is probably going to go.
Davis, Kadi, Moore: Danny has been superb and would be in my line up ahead of Barry. Compared to the first half of last season Junior had a poor end to it and hasn't looked good in pre-season. I can only recall one really good pass in all the friendlies so far and has given the ball away far too easily. Watts and Adeniyi is a tough call. Kirk is playing well and deserves the start, but an in-form Peter would be hard to keep out.
Well that's my thoughts for everybody to disagree with. Happy debating
