Well P.J, i do agree with you to a certain extent infact 90%!Belgrave looks quality and so doess new centre half but to see the players who got us in this position only getting a half at best is very unsettling and we need to see our first eleven right from the start against the Albion as this two team thing has us all confused and has turned a very confident lewes team and fanbase into one that is slightly nervous to say the least.Steve and i had a few "words" after the Horsham game as i make no apologies for bieng as happy as a dwarf who has just won a years worth of limbo dancing lessons after it and he was concerned that some may expect too much this year.I dont think we do and i think most of us think that we could be in for one or two tonkings but we dont mind taking them on the chin if the desire and effort that was so lacking on Saturday is shown by all eleven players not just the same old few.Losing to Horsham in that manner was embarrasing and it DID matter,it mattered very much.I have every faith in Steve and the players to turn up when it really matters at the start of the season and those that think we have become a bad team overnight need to wake up,the reality of the matter is if we had to beat Horsham or Ringmer we would quite convincingly so these results are not indicitive of our side but losing is a habit as is shipping goals(remember last year) so lets get out of it soon!
Does anyone have an answer as to why we ship so many goals from dead ball situtions?
As for the bar Steve has worked wonders and i have heard nothing but good things but i do feek it needs Lewes-ising with a bit of our history and a trophy cabinet for all last years cups including the youth ones.Bar stools would also be nice.
We have the most exciting season in front of us,Worthing and co would give thier back teeth(if pookie hasnt already had the fillings!!!) to be in our position lets enjoy it as it will be a rollercoaster!!
