Posted by liam Glass If it's 4-4-2, then: Glass You forgot about Kadi and Haughton in your list of players you had ommitted from the starting eleven, never mind if we sign either Cornwall, the big centre half or anybody else that trials with us over the next seven games! It really is a luxury of riches, especially up front. I've only gone with Storey and Moore because if you consider the level at which they have consistently played, if they are on their game then they have got to be in. I thought Storey was excellent on Saturday, and I think he will really shine against less strong opposition (with the Ghana game off, that first game may well be the toughest we have all season, depending on who Brighton bring down). As for Barry, I thought he did no more than tick over on Saturday, but don't forget that this time last year, he was playing pro football in a championship winning side in America. If his knee is ok, then he'll be a massive asset once he's done his suspension for the sending-off at Basingstoke. But then I'd have to decide which 5 to have on the bench out of: Haughton Watts Whoever does start will know that they've got to be at their very best 'cos there's a more than capable replacement waiting for his chance.....can't August 14th come a little sooner please..........

This is the kind of thread I love! It all depends on formation, but if we go 3-5-2, then I reckon it should be:
Vines
Lovett
Ikpa
Adeniyi
Storey
Moore
Davis
Clarke
Belgrave
Whiteman
Lovett
Vines
Ikpa
Harvey
Adeniyi
Moore
Storey
Clarke
Belgrave
Whiteman
Newman
Cable
Harvey/Davis
Kennett
Kadi
Watts
Metcalf
Kissi
Like you say, impossible! But competition for places can't be a bad thing - what about a front 7 of :
Kennett
Kadi
Davis
Clarke
Newman
Haughton
????????
