Neat, glad to see I added some fuel to this one....freakin jebus, the penis gets stepped on once again...? In my next life I will come back as a unisex drone, that can reproduce/reach orgasm by simply thinking about it with another being....
Let me clear up some of my points if I may?
I see art from the audiences' (by choice) view only because I prefer thatway of thinking. Art is defined by the observer/listener. You may have even made the art that is being enjoyed, but its in the observation/listen that it becomes art, even as you make it, at that moment. Hopefully its for more people than just 1, yourself, hopefully its shared (much like that orgasm thing, lest it be masterbation)
Another example... one that may mix it up a bit, but another point of view.... My grandfather "Pops" Hiserodt as everyone called him, was a hobbiest, an amateur photographer, video-documentary, wood-worker, rock polisher, on top of all that had an ice cream factory that he sold and retired on, very interesting guy. I did not know him well because he died in '73. But anyway.. I look at his hobbies as art, I do, he did not. To him, he was making a nice wood plate, or bowl, that was functional. He enjoyed the challenge of making a plate out of wood. He took pictures of midlle class america in the 20s,30s,40s,....and so on as documenting memories. I consider many of his photos "art", and all of his woodwork "art". He did not see it that way. So, I as the observer, have dubbed it "ART".
