One show I was involved with amounted to little more than us playing to a touring band then them playing to us. Ok, there were maybe 2 other people there not associated with the venue. It was a very fun show. Finally, live playing, even when to almost nobody, is better than any practice. It just makes you better. Oh yeah... it's also really ####ing fun. And it's fun too.
I can think of a few reasons. Sometimes, it's just magical. The occasion when the crowd and band are working together, and the experience is way better than playing in the bedroom ever could be. As long as we're talking about music, that is.
