Funny, I was just discussing a similar issue with a friend. We agreed that God gives us so much to play with in life, so even when a wrench is thrown into the mix, it is difficult not to find reason for happiness and fulfillment. And having a personal relationship with Him does serve as a constant source of comfort. Your philosophy is one that I have always tried to embrace too, Linds. I think it is a healthy, positive way to approach life. It doesn't mean that we can't feel sad or dejected at times, we all do, but to always keep in mind with gratitude(the key to happiness) all our blessings.
