When malicious gossip or slander is passed along, the humanity of three people is thereby diminished .... the one who repeats the gossip, the one who listens to the gossip, and the one who is the subject of the gossip. When a person refrains from gossiping or tale-bearing, the angels rejoice from up above.

This weekend, our Christian radio station has been sponsoring a Food for the Poor event. It's been awesome to see so many people contribute their time, energy and money into something as important as feeding those who cannot get food for themselves. Part of the money goes to the national organization, and part of it will go to benefit the rescue mission here in Southern California. The group True Vibe has an awesome song that relates to helping people. By giving money to make sure that families have enough food to eat, they are being shown that they are cared about, and that they aren't alone in this world. "See The Light" reminds us that each day, it is our responsibility to do what we can to make sure those around us get to know Him in the way that we treat them...whether it be by giving them food, a hug, or even just a smile. When people see the Light of Him through us, we have truly led a successful life.
Or what you're doing
You could be somebody's hope
You really don't have to
look that far to see that
You can take the light
that lives within
And guide the way that
leads to Him
Testify
That the world
may see the light
Everyone can make
a difference.
Take your candles
Hold em' high
So they light
the darkest sky
That the world
may see the light.
Are people hurting
Opportunities to love
Make the most of everyday
Of every moment
That He gives for
us to share
Take the time to
show you care
that in all we
say and do
Everyone would see
You and only you
Take our lives
Lord and let them
be a sign
That you can take
a broken heart
and bring it back
to life.
and testify
Raise your hands
Take a stand
You know that
we can make a difference.
