When malicious gossip or slander is passed along, the humanity of three people is thereby diminished .... the one who repeats the gossip, the one who listens to the gossip, and the one who is the subject of the gossip. When a person refrains from gossiping or tale-bearing, the angels rejoice from up above.

Barbie - you made me smile. A sales pitch for monsters. I honestly never say it that way.
My thing with vampires, though, stems slightly from reading the Twilight saga. You see the main vampires in that only feed off of animals even though their body aches for human blood at first. They fight the temptation. Now really, are humans all that different? We eat animals so surely we are no better than the vampires that merely feed off of animals. Though vegetarians I suppose are better than us all. lol We do fight temptations as humans. Maybe not the temptation to drink someone's blood but possibly the temptation to kill or harm someone who has harmed someone we love. I just feel monsters get a bad rep. People assume prejudises against them. I am working on a children's story. To me it is kind of about human prejudism. Their fear of what they don't understand (fairies, witches, octupus people & a few other creatures) pushes them to force these creatures, who are actually no different than humans, to live underground.
Maybe King Kong loved that lady but didn't know how to show it. lol I never watched King Kong (though I did ride the ride at Universal a long time ago) so I really can't comment on that one. Same goes for The Black Lagoon. Lame I know. A monster lover that doesn't watch those movies. I prefer to see them in a good light. Like Frankenstein who was simply misunderstood. His appearance scared people. There are infact shows that show monsters in a good light. The Munsters, The Addams Family, (soon) Twilight, Frankenstein... And Dragons... well most people know my love for dragons. I always write them as magnificent kind creatures in my stories. I noticed a lot of other authors have started doing that too.
Trisha & I were of course pleased with the outcome of the election. I don't know why but I trust Obama more than I do most politicians. (To be honest, I don't normally trust politicians at all) I only hope Obama can bring the change that America craves. I am sorry that sadness permeates you house because of it. But I am so glad you are nothing like the many other Republican voters I have came across on the internet. (I knew you wouldn't be, and I am certainly not lumping all Republicans together. I just mean the few I have read comments from) They are certainly cruel about Obama's win. They are saying some really harsh things that make me cringe.
I am sure eventually they will see how wonderful this can be. At least I hope so.
You & Enzo are quite right. We are all in this together. I do not just mean the United States of America either. I mean all of North America. I know Canada backs America whenever you need us. (Yes I may live in the States now but I am a Canadian through & through)
Well All My Children is a soap opera so I am certian Bianca & Maggie will find their way back together like Tad & Dixie did so many times. Til then I will have to try to like Reese so I can be happy for Bianca. Me and my stubborness... lol
