When malicious gossip or slander is passed along, the humanity of three people is thereby diminished .... the one who repeats the gossip, the one who listens to the gossip, and the one who is the subject of the gossip. When a person refrains from gossiping or tale-bearing, the angels rejoice from up above.

I can understand how the direction of the storylines can be frustrating sometimes, Mal. You come to care about these characters, you emotionally invest in them really, even though you realize they are just created personalities penned by the writers. But when the characters themselves or their storylines are written in a way which deviates from how you visualize them to be or wish them to be, it is a source of frustration. It has happened many times with me too....with all of us trust me. Just recently, Brooke having no proper exit scenes made me want to shake my head and throw my hands up. I loved the character and the actress. So unfair. Final scenes between Brooke and Erica would have been priceless. And so often they write stories with women being victimized, it drives me absolutely nuts. Dixie being whacked about killed my Russ. And how about with our Kit back in the day, to have her character written to falsely accuse fan-favorite Tad of rape(and later Ryan) spelled the end of her time in Pine Valley. How could she ever be accepted by most after that? Paige was just terrific, but the writers sometimes dig such a hole for the characters/actors, and often there is just no way out. Anyway, I am with you, kiddo. Would love to read the poem if you still have it. Love your writing. xoxo
