When malicious gossip or slander is passed along, the humanity of three people is thereby diminished .... the one who repeats the gossip, the one who listens to the gossip, and the one who is the subject of the gossip. When a person refrains from gossiping or tale-bearing, the angels rejoice from up above.

Hi Mal - I am so glad to hear that your mother is making a strong recovery, both physically and emotionally. By the way, you never have to apologize for anything you write on the board. Your feelings are real and honest and so understandable under the circumstances. We are all with you here with so much love, Mal. Always know that. And thank you for the thoughtful Hanukkah card. We received it yesterday in the mail. So sweet of you, our friend. I have been so lax in responding to the board and to cards. As I told Annmarie, I have been putting in 12 hour days and have been feeling totally spent after work. But I do love you, Mal, and I never want to take your friendship for granted. Thank you again.
