When malicious gossip or slander is passed along, the humanity of three people is thereby diminished .... the one who repeats the gossip, the one who listens to the gossip, and the one who is the subject of the gossip. When a person refrains from gossiping or tale-bearing, the angels rejoice from up above.
Posted by ~*Mal*~ on 12/14/2006, 1:58 am I'm sorry to rant... I just didn't know where to go or who to talk to. It killed me when she said we didn't care & not to pray for her. I have to pray for her.
As you may remember I am in Texas now. My family is back in Ontario Canada. I called home today to talk to my mother. My sister answered. I was shocked because Mary is hardly ever there. She said "Mom's in the hospital." I felt my world fall to pieces. My mother never goes to the hospital. She hates doctors. She has to be serious bad to go to the hospital. I said "What? What happened?" She said that dad had rushed mom to the hospital at 4am. She said my mother had a bleeding ulcer. They gave her 4 units of blood. 4 units? Isn't that a lot. They wanted to keep mom for 2 - 3 days. But mom is stubborn & mean. She threatened the hospital staff so I'm guessing since dad is a doctor they let her go home. When I found out she was home I called her. She said that no one cares anyway. She told me that God doesn't care. I told her that God does care. That God loves her. That she was being ridiculous. If I didn't care I wouldn't have been calling everyone back home all day. She said not to worry about her to worry about my "new" family. No matter what she says, she is my mother. I can't lose her. Sure she can say hurtful things but she has to know that God & her children love her. We do. I don't know if she will follow the doctors orders... cuz she hasn't in the past, but I do know I am worried about her. I have to keep praying even if she tells me she doesn't want to be prayed for. I can't believe thats true. Maybe she is hurting... I don't know. But Ted, Mary, Ray, Brendan, Jacob & I NEED our mother. Taylor & Keanna NEED their grandma. I know she doesn't want to be prayed for but I don't think she knows what she needs. She NEEDS to be prayed for. I don't know what I'd do if something happened to her. Why couldn't they make her stay in the hospital?
