Posted by Ryan on 9/30/2003, 4:55 pm I feel that in this wonderful society that we live in we have a few basic human rights. I am sure that mine will differ from some you might read in your text books. The following are in no particular order. A human should have the right to: sit back and enjoy a PBR, Black Label, or High Life without being scoffed at by the beer snobs who consider Sierra Nevada to be a step down. Humans have the right to own a boat or have a friend who has one. Humans have the right to have occasional incredible sex to refer back to in dry times. Humans have the right to get a credit card without having to pay a fee for joining. Humans have the right to put on their Chuck Taylors and strut down the city streets as if they were wearing patent leather Italian shoes. Humans have the right to not have to watch their backs all the time. Along with rights come responsibilities. If you are drinking a PBR, it is your responsibility to drink it with pride. When they ask you at the liquor store if you want a bag for the $6.99 twelve pack you just purchased, you say hell no. Walk down the busiest street in your town and flash your PBR all over the place. If you do have a boat, it is your responsibility to let your friends come over and drink PBR at least once every other week (weather permitting). If you are going to your nautical friends boat, it is your responsibility to consider bringing something a little better than PBR. If you are only getting occasional incredible sex, it is your responsibility to get better. You gotta give to receive. If you get a credit card with an $80 joiners fee, it is your responsibility to realize that you are getting screwed. If you are walking the town strutting your Chucks, it is your responsibility to know how to strut. Most importantly, if you are the jackass that keeps stealing my guitars, it is your responsibility to GO TO HELL!!!! Unfortunately, I have a lot of experience with theft. Somehow people keep deciding to take advantage of me one way or another. Some of these people I know, some I dont. My roommate had three checkbooks stolen last week. Someone went around town writing checks in his name. Close friends have been caught stealing money out of other friends purses. QUIT IT! I'm just thinking out loud. It has been a rough week. I am going to head out of here, drink a PBR, and strut to the 5 Corners with my Chucks and check out Jordans band
..
I have felt the need to rant for awhile now. So, if you dont like emotionally (not chemically this time) driven thoughts spilled on a keyboard, dont read this.
