Hello everyone. I am new here and looking for some advice- can anyone help?
My Mum has been ill for 5 years now with ovarian cancer (she also had breast cancer before I was born). Despite being told that it was terminal, the tests showed good progress and we were all really hopeful.
Yesterday, I came home from boarding school and my Dad had to tell me in the car that they had found 2 tumours in my Mum's brain- one definitley cancerous, the other was "suspicious". I knew Mum had been forgetful and confused (at one point she poured the kettle on to the floor instead of into the sink, and kept arguing with the doctor about what day of the week it was), but she had been in a very minor car crash and we thought she was concussed.
At the moment, we don't know anything else. I was simply wondering, does anyone know anyone with a stage 4 secondary brain tumour? Is it treatable?
