I've lurked on this board and read other posts on and off over the past year or so and I finally wanted to post. My name is Sarah and my dad passed away in February from esophageal cancer. He had an esophagectomy in March of 2003 shortly after being diagnosed and was on chemo and radiation for his treatments. He and my mom were never together throughout my whole childhood (but only lived about 5 minutes away from me so I saw him all the time) and he had just recently started a relationship with a wonderful woman named Anne when he was diagnosed. She lived about 3 hours away but he traveled up north quite a bit regularly so he saw her pretty often. They got married in June of 03 and shortly after he moved up to live with her because she lived 5 minutes from a wonderful hospital and it was easier for him to recieve treatment there. I just finally wanted to introduce myself and want to say I'm here for others to talk to as well as wanting to use this board to get advice and support from all of you. Thanks! Sarah
