my mom was diagonsed with cancer about 8 months ago, and I didnt know if I should tell my friends either (btw im also 17). I finally did, and it became a lto eaiser to have soemnoe to tlak to. I dont kno how close you are with ur friends, but i know that I felt a lot of the time that I was sort of whinnig to them all of the time and being annoying, and they didnt feel that way at all. I think that ur friends would want to help you out through this situation. After all, if it were the other way around wouldn't you want to help your friends.
