I'm sorry your mom's at the stage where hospice, but glad that you're getting the services both she and the rest of your family needs.
I have never heard a bad thing about hospice, only wonderful stories about how kind and supportive they are. It takes a special kind of person to work in hospice and I think that screens out people who aren't fit for the job.
Hopefully you can take the opportunity to utilize some of the family support services like counseling to make this time as easy for you as possible.
