Mom passed away after her 2 year battle with cancer. She was in a hospice when it happened and had 2 of her sisters by her side. She was only 54 years old, but fought so hard and so long. This morning reading the obituary we put in the paper almost makes me feel numb inside. I have been so busy these past couple days since it happened that even though I have cried lots it almost seems like a dream. Friends say that it will be after the funeral that I will really crash because I will realize that she is no longer here. When people give their condolences I keep telling them that mom is in a better place where she has no pain and doesn't have to fight so hard to be with us. Now she is with the angels with whom she so believed in since her illness started. I believe she is able to watch over all her family at one time now. I will forever love and miss her so much.
