Posted by N (Nicola) I don't know whether i have helped much but if the priest is coming to your house to discuss funeral arrangements, im sure he will help you if you ask for help.

My mum died of cancer recently, I can't really give you much help about what to say though because i never gave a speach at the funeral (im only 15).
i think that you should talk about your dads life, where he was born, if your mum and dad were still together maybe you could talk about where they met, their marriage and when they had you, then maybe you could talk about the fun times you've had together, holidays, his personality, maybe things he liked doing, and then you could maybe talk about his friends and family and say how much every one will miss him, but he'll always be there in spirit, and his memories will live in people's hearts. If any close family and friends of your dads have died you could mention that he will be with them.
