Posted by JulieO Anyway, the real reason for this post was that I was working on stuff for my college's upcoming Relay for Life (benefiting the American Cancer Society) and wondered if anyone else was involved. This year, like last, I'm a team captain and I've signed up for the organizing committee for next year. I'm really excited about it. For me it feels like a way to do something about my life. We can't do anything about our own lives and what cancer has done to us, but maybe we can do something to help stop it from happening to others and give support to those in need. Is anyone still here?

Wow... it's been forever since I've been here and there are pretty much no new posts. But I figured I give it a shot in case a couple of people were still lurking. Sorry I've been so absent. I think I had to remove myself for a while as I grieved. I'm doing much better now, though things are still hard. I worry about my dad a lot, especially since the cat died and now he really is all alone at home. Mostly, I just miss my mom, and I probably always will.
