I have not come to this section of this site for more than a year but decided to pop in here today for some reason. Anyway, you never mentioned how Mom made out with the first radiation treatment. I do not have any first had experience with radiation as I did not have it. But I do have a Mom who had cancer when I was 16 so I do know what you are going through. My Mom did have radiation. She also had to travel to get it but the cancer society came and picked her up, took her and brought her back home so if the driving gets too hard for your Mom perhaps you could contact the cancer society and they could help her get to her radiation appointments.
