I know how you feel. I feel so guilty for not being there enough or calling enough too. It sounds like he has a lot of support in the area to be there when you are not. I look at it this way, my mom hasn't quit her job just to be there every second for support, so I can't leave school to be there all of the time. Especially since he is still working, if you weren't in school, he would be at work at the same time you would have been in class. I know it's hard and I think about it all of the time, but I just have to remember to move on and try to talk to my dad as much as possible. I am at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC). My dad was able to keep working too, and everyone was amazed. After about 6 months though, the chemo and radiation got to be too much and he had to leave work. How long has it been since his diagnosis? My dad was diagnosed 2 years ago yesterday.
