Wow michelle,
It is hard. My mom died Nov. 28th 2003. Right after thanksgiving and right before Christmas It was extremely difficult. I'm 30. But I was 28 when she died. I was the one in the family that had to pretty much take care of everything as well. You know, I prayed for extra strength when i had to make arrangements. I had that too, right up until the moment that she breathed her last breathe. I literally felt my legs buckle underneath me. I was no longer strong. I think because I no longer had to be. My younger sister can relate to you too because she hadn't even graduated high school when we lost our mom. I will absolutely pray for you Michelle. It is so hard a road that you are having to walk. Losing a mom is not like any other loss. If at all possible savour any time you may have left with your mom. Make the arrangements like tommorow. don't wait because as you get closer to the time it will get harder. Please e mail me if you ever need to chat. hernandartu4@cs.com. It's the home e mail. But i'm the one that checks. I'm not sure if you can at all get this booklet . It's called " out of my sight".. It really really helped me with the last part of my moms life. any hospice facility should have it.
God bless,
mle
