It is hard for everybody involved. You and your mom need to be there for "each other". You are both dealing with a loved one with cancer.
I think people tell you to be strong for your mother as they don't know what else to say. There is no right or wrong way to deal with this, everybody handles it different.
I know what you mean when you say that nobody seems to understand. That's why I started coming to these boards too. We are not experts here, just people like yourself who are seeking comfort, wisdom and words of encouragement from people in our similar situations. Cancer stresses everybody! But please keep venting your feelings as this is a wonderful outlet.
