Posted by OSURD My mom's cancer spread from her lung to her liver, which the doctor gave her 6-9 months after that, depending on how chemo went. It is now in her stomach and a mass of tumors in her chest, and the tumor in her liver more then tripled in size. She is on hospice now, with the hospice she used to work at as a nurse. I know all the staff which makes it a little easier. As soon as I saw Kathy (her nurse) walking up the front way I bolted outside and gave her a huge hug before she officially admitted my mom into hospice. It's hard because Kathy said mom can't be alone for a long period of time. Well, I am the only one at home, and my siblings arn't stepping up to the plate. With hospice, her nurse will come twice a week, a social worker a couple-few times a week, home health aid comes, volunteers. We got a hospital bed for her since she can't function at all. A bed side comode. A walker. A HUGE oxygen tank, and a couple for going out of the house to wheel next to her wheel chair. It's just really - real. It's happening. Sorry. I just needed to vent, and thought I'd update you on what was going on.

Sorry I haven't been around much.
The chemo didn't phase the cancer at all.
Now he's saying 3 weeks to a couple months.
Am I supposed to cancel all of my appointments, and drop my class?
I'm just so frustrated.
My mom is actually dying. Quickly. The cancer spread and grew that much in a period of weeks, not even months.
