i had a electrics problem with my chetak classic the regulator was melting due too a short. you can try a vespa 3pin regulator if no luck email bajaj usa or see adverts in scootering mag for k&s scooters he might help i put on a pollini exhust with a special exhust stub i can get made and up jeted to 100jet for a deitor carb.your windings might be off or a simple short. my bajaj now has a worn cruciform and vespa flywheel puller is too big any idears.
