The problem is going to be with your carburetta its tick over is causing the carb to flood, more common on older carbs, because the needle and valve seat wear out. On some newer carbs the quiality is just poor, but its not helped by the engine ticking over causing vibrations to unseat the float "needle" making the petrol level in the float chamber too high, so then when you raise the throttle the engine over fuels and floods.
This is why you have to wait 20 mins before it will start again its similar to using the choke on a hot engine it causes it to flood and cut out.
try turning the petrol tap off about 15 to 20 seconds before you rev it up, if it revs up cleanly turn the petrol back on let it tick over and try again if it stalls now then it prooves my theory
