Posted by Garry on 3/30/2006, 12:57 am about a week ago I tried to start my vespa et4 125, it was turning over but not sparking, I must of tried to start it so much I wore the battery down as it stopped even turning over. I concluded that the battery was the problem and proceeded to buy a charger, after charging my battery for over 12 hours the LED display read that the battery was still charging (indicated by a red light on the charger, it should have turned green when it was fully charged) I then tried the battery in my bike and the engine sparked and worked just fine. The next morning it wouldn't even spark again. I thought i'd give it a quick 10 minute charge as i really needed to be somewhere, after charging it sparked for a bit then nothing. So I thought OK this battery ain't holding charge and went and bought a new one. This new battery has now been charging for over 12 hours and the LED is still on red, i'll try it in the morning but have a horrible feeling that its just gonna do the same thing, does anyone know what the problem might be here, i'm guessing the charger might be at fault but it is charging to a degree. It can't be the new battery can it I just bought the thing i watched them out the electrotite liquid in myself. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance
I've been readin through all the previous posts and couldn't find an answer to my problem so thought i'd create a new topic to hopefully get an answer.
