Please help with advice.
Purcased scooter Bajaj Stride 1995. The bike shop who sold it to me had to replace piston because of cracked skirt. When running in engine after about 200 miles engine started revving when in neutral when scooter got hot on some occasions have use cut off switch and the scooter carried on running for a bit. Before this happened I set the carb but I feel this is not the problem as I followed correct set up of turning in idle jet and opening 1.5 turns and then setting throttle for even idle and it does run well until it gets hot and starts revving. Some of the things I have done to improve the scooter after the revving problem was decoke exhaust,remove head and barrel cleaned out exhaust port. Remove carb and removed jets to see if they were clean and replaced throttle cable. Should I check the gasket between carb and engine body again or could there be an air leak which causes the engine to rev from the crank case?
